At one time (for a short time) Retul’s Frame Finder program led the industry for new bike buying software.    Specialized bought the company a few years back and they dropped all non-Specialized brands from the database;(

Best Utility for Specialized

Trek’s (Purely Custom) Pure Position Software includes most manufacturers, brands & models.  Only Tri/TT option is the Trek Speed Concept.

Best Utility for Trek/Speed Concept

Dorel’s Guru Discovery Software boasts the largest new bike database in the world.  Includes the majority of   Tri/TT bike models but struggles configuring the integrated cockpit

Best Utility for Tri/TT — Not Specialized or Trek

Bike CAD is a bicycle design software that happens to be my favorite option for new bike buying.  This software is not for the novice user.  More time consuming than the competition but superior in flexibility, detail and accuracy.
